Dr. Stephanie Gerritsen

Dr. Stephanie Gerritsen is a 2019 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College and is the newest addition to the TIVS team! Stephanie is originally from Whitby, ON, and found her love of veterinary medicine through her numerous pets and frequent trips to the Toronto Zoo growing up. Once she graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, Stephanie spent a year practicing emergency medicine in Peterborough, ON, before carrying on to general practice working with dogs, cats, and exotic animals in Cambridge, ON. Stephanie has a special interest in the care of all animals, from fur to feathers to scales! She is a current member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, on top of her work with dogs and cats. While she loves all the animals that come through the door, she has an extra soft spot for falcons, hawks, and other raptors as she was lucky enough to work with these beautiful birds for the past few years. Stephanie lives with her fiancé, Dan, and a sassy senior tuxedo cat named Stella. In her downtime, Stephanie loves to explore hiking trails and camp in the woods as well as crochet amigurumi and sketch. Dr. Stephanie is excited to be joining the team and is looking forward to taking the best care of your beloved dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, hedgehog, lizard, snake, or bird!
