Tessa

Tessa is the smiling face on our front desk who keeps us all on track! Her compassion, empathy and her work ethic make her a rock star at client relations. She started with TIVS in the fall of 2022. She graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at St. Lawrence College earlier that year.

Tessa has always had a love for animals and she has a strong passion for animal welfare. Her favourite parts of her job are being able to help clients and their pets when they need us, and assisting to provide a low stress clinic experience for all of our patients. She is particularly interested in behavioural medicine and physiology.

Outside of work Tessa loves horseback riding, hiking and reading. You may even see her walking around town with one of her cats who enjoys going out on his leash!

Tessa shares her home with two brown tabby domestic shorthaired kitties. Hunter is a spayed female who showed up as a stray one day and has been a part of Tessa’s life since Tessa was 8 years old. Bandit is a more recent addition to Tessa’s family and he is a neutered male who Tessa, and her partner, adopted from the Lyndhurst Feral Cat Project.
